The good people over at Curbed SF have been having some discussions recently about MUNI maps, their usefulness (or lack thereof) and are how holding a contest to find the Best MUNI Map Replacement Ever.
It’s a great start – I’d also suggest how to replace the janky, handwritten signs all over the Metro stations with signs that somehow explain What’s What and the Great Dollar Bill Changer Mystery, for example.
This could be fun. I encourage design-inclined Loyal Readers to participate, and share your entries here in the comments. While I am sure we will get some Seriously Thoughtful entries (which is awesome), I’m hoping to see a few “fun” ones too. Run with it, citizens and let’s have some fun.
