Better late than never, I suppose – the improved signals at 9th/Irving and 9th/Judah finally got the necessary signs that explain to the masses that sometimes you will see a green light, but that your autopilot needs to shut off and wait for the Big Giant Streetcars to make their turns.
Now, I don’t know why it took so long for a standard sign like this to be put up, months after the actual signals went up, but I’m glad they’re there now. It would have been beneficial if back in March DPT or MUNI or Whoever had some folks pointing out the obvious and educating the public about the new order of things, but at this point we should just be glad it got done at all.
Maybe they need to have a big giant red arrow added to these things just so there’s no confusion? We’ll see…

You can’t eliminate confusion with ordinary signage.

How about if MUNI assigns someone to take people by the hand and help them cross the street? Hmm?
@PT: Given how truly dumb people are , and given the size of the settlements and the cost to MUNI, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had crossing guards. At some point people need to wake up.
