Seen whilst taking a mid-day walk to the post office and the coffee place…Wall-E ads covered the N Judah today! I can’t remember ever seeing this on a Metro car before. Buses, sure, but Metros? New to me, anyway.

i rode on this train yesterday, it was pretty dark and depressing.
What’s not for sale in this town anyway?
The ads generate a tiny fraction of Muni’s income. I say scrap the ads, they make Muni look crappy and don’t add any real value.
I hate those things because they make the windows impossible to see out of. Not great if you’re on an unfamiliar line (on which almost no drivers call out stops) and trying to figure out where you are.
It would be much better if they would just not cover the windows (or at least every other window. I don’t mind a little extra advertising- it makes the N’s pulling into the Caltrain station more interesting to watch as I wait for my southbound train to leave.
Btw they did the same thing to a Caltrain last summer for the “New Yellow Pages.”
